Take a look at my $10 Banana Tree!  It is growing along nicely now that it’s warmed up.  I don’t know why but just haven’t found much in the way of flowers to plant back here in the enclosed garden.  I lit a candle and thought of Joe this morning while I drank my coffee at 5a.  It was really peaceful and warm.  Gotta fly to the studio next. Thanks for checking in!  Peace, BK~

Greetings!  Just a few photos of the garden.  Not alot going on yet.  Still lots of space to fill.  Sadly my Canna bulbs did not winter over, which was a real bummer ’cause I had a green leaf one that was to bloom yellow, which I never got to see.  Been There-Killed That applies here.

Don’t be square!  For those of you who are old enough to remember the phrase.  Are you round or square?  I guess we’re all a little of both.  Today is Sunday and I know you’ve all been eagerly awaiting a new posting.  Kelli is now complaining to me at work that I’m not updating often enough.  You’ve gotta have something to say and something new to show Kelli.  Well, (it’s a DEEP subject) my weekend was lots of running to Jackson and Parma to see old friend from high school and WMU.  Steve, you look great and I loved talking to you.  Bob Hill your still a trip and I love your energy.  By the way my sister Katie said your brother Phil Hill teased her terrible in high school.  Why was your brother so mean do you think?

I am working on a new blog site, like I need another one to keep up right?  Well, everyone else seems to have two.  Gotta get a computor head friend to help set it up alittle better, but it’s called “BKbeads and More.  The more being stuff like the heavier, darker stuff that sometimes goes on in my head.  And not all heavy but some cute and funny stuff as well.  People also like to post what books they’ve been reading, music they’ve listened too, food they’ve cooked, etc.  This new site should be ready soon.

Oh, I bought the cutest newborn baby clothes for the new baby!  Wow, it’s been awhile since I bought baby clothes, and having 4 boys I’ve never been able to buy Pink baby clothes.  That was lots of fun.  I should get going and start supper, so take care all and thanks for checking in!  BK~

That’s right!  Northville MI, you all know what a charming city Northville is right?  Now is your chance Detroit Beadheads, I’m talking to you!, to come out to this show.  I had to do alot of  fanagling to get myself a spot at that show so please take advantage of it and come out and buy a bunch of beads!  I have a huge selection of totally premo beads that I’ve been making the last few months.  These have not been picked through since this is the first show I’ve done since Feb.  Besides, I’d really like to meet you ladies that check this blog out and make it one of your personal sites you visit often.  Meet Me In Person!!  I’ll be signing autographs and giving away free beads if I like you!!  How can you beat that??  You can’t, so grab a girlfriend or two and come on out, that’s June 27th and 28th.  I will like you if you don’t chat it up on your cell phone in my booth and if you are upbeat!!  It’s that easy!  I will have little bags of give aways ready to hand you, in fact if you mention this ad I could possibly give you 2 bags!!  Peace, BK~

I’ve been having lots of fun with these large beads!

I’m going to make more of these, so many more color combos to do.  I was planning on going to the shop today but got distracted by some drop in company ( in a good way).  So great to have the sun out today.  I love just hanging around the house puttering away at stuff.  Since the vacation starts today I was’nt in a hurry to go to the studio.

David has gone to A2 to see some band so he’s out of my hair tonite.  I am hoping that Jon and Kate plus 8 comes out on dvd so I can watch it.  I’m afraid I’m getting all caught up in weather the kids should be filmed all the time.  It would be hard to turn  $75K per episode down, one could get used to that kind of money.  I like Kate and think she does a great job with those kids, I just wish she did’nt treat Jon like one of them.  I could get into how to have a great relationship with your spose here but I’m not really one to preach on that subject.  I’d say one thing to Kate however, never underestimate RESPECT Kate, because that’s what we all want, to be listened to in a compasionate way, like the way women talk to each other, leaning in, considering what is being said, muling it over and coming to intellegent answer, or just plain listening.  We all want to be heard right??/  Blah, Blah, Blah

Hi There, Just in to give you a quick weekend update!  Inquiring minds want to know.  Well, today is the begining of a week long vacation week for me.  Lots of gardening still to do.  Seeds to plant mostly and the usual weeding.  Saturday is the big sale at the big kiln in Albion!  There are tons of pots to view and buy,  you will remember the Amagama kiln firing a few months back, well now is your chance to buy.  Ken Shenstone’s place is right past the Victory Park, I think that’s Erie Rd.  There should be signs, you can also Google Ken by name and get directions there if interested in going.  There will be lots of people as so many have been clamoring to buy, wish I had that problem.  I’ll be taking plenty of pics to post on Sunday.

Now to you Beadheads….Kelli, you were right about the plater in the pic of Ryan with the owl on it, that really is cool!  I tend to focus on Ryan and don’t look at his work enough!  And RINA BENDON!!!! Flash from the past!!  Thanks for leaving a coment!  Except I can’t email you back…my email is bkhollosy@yahoo.com, please write back so we can talk and get together!!  I would love to see you.

Pretty nice bead uptop yeh??  That’s been etched and  I really love it.  First $30 takes it.  I think I’ll make it into a pendant.  Any gardners out there?

For those of you surfing around looking for something interesting to read or otherwise stimulate your senses…..I checked all my photos and found this pic of the boys bathroom.  The boys are the talented gardners extrodinaire that I visit while in Royal Oak.  Their whole house is pretty much gorgous and very artistic as you can see,  They do all the work themselves.  They ordered like thousands of shells from FL and did this bathroom.

I’ve worked on my gardens the last week or so now that it’s warming up.  Ann, sorry I did’nt get back to you last week.  I did read your comment.  So yes, I’m gardening.  Got a few banana plants in but they need HEAT and it’s still kinda chilli for them, although the first leaves are unfurling slowly.  THe veg garden is going.  Put the brussesls out but waiting to see if rabbits will find…still got squash and other stuff to add.  Lettuce is almost ready, and blah, blah, blah. 

Trying to get into the Northville show very last minute.  As usual the fair director is slow to comunicate, worst customer service ever.  A Fedex Gal finds poor customer service almost tooo much to bare, Samantha you know what I’m takin’ about!!  There are some upcoming highlights in the month of June!  Get together Grasser at the Gillet Farm in Parma.  You gotta go waaay back to the 70’s to recognize that term.  A grasser is a party in a field with beer and pot and friends.  As you may know I am completely straight since Joe’s death.  No drugs or beer.    It feels soo good to be clean and sober.  Really got my head together!!  Just enjoying the many blessings in my life.  Anyway, back to the grasser.  SO the boys from Parma are reuniting for a day at the farm.  Steve Gillet, well we put up hay together, painted the VW Van hot pink and just had a great summer back in 1968.  It was the Summer of Love. These guys stayed together at WMU and we were just a tight bunch of friends.  So you can imagine a reunion of this sort.  I guess it’s been 15 yrs since we’ve seen each other.  I’ll give ya a update, that is in 2 wks.  That’s all the news that I can think of.  Oh, one more thing…cold the person that is looking at this site from Jamaica please leave a comment as to who you are as I love all things Jamaican and I’m curious.  Thanks, Lotsa Love Comin’ at Cha!!  BK~
