I guess we’re all getting pretty tired of this cold weather. What to do? Plan for spring. Gardening! Now there’s a subject! You may remember the new brick patio that went in this fall. I’ve thought about the enclosed garden for about 5 yrs now and you’d think I’d have it all figured out by now. After I returned from Jamaica I was all about a tropical garden. Why not plan a few banana trees, hibiscus and lots of colorful coleous. Then I watch the gardening shows and they are all about planting native plants. One things for sure, we all are hungry for some green plants.
It’s also time to send in fair apps. Seems the app fees have all been jacked up another $5. $35 may not sound like much to you but times that by every show you enter and it adds up quickly. This year I am entering just 4 shows. ELansing, which I will be wait listed for, Madison which I don’t believe I’ll get in, though they do have a Jewelry, non metal catagory, so maybe…that show costs $675 for the booth fee by the way, and Charlevoix and State Street.
How are the classes coming? you ask! I am going to make it HAPPEN by March or April. Being colder than a well diggers ass, does not make me want to start hauling materials to the shop, but as soon as it begins to warm up it will happen. How can it be I have promised lampworking classes for 2 yrs and not done a thing about it..well, I’ve have been doing ordering supplies, chairs, all the torches, flooring and exhaust system is in and plans to do the final fuel set up is happening. Latonya dear, I promise you and all your friends will be torching beads to your creative hearts content in just a few short months!!
Friday was a very excellant day! All my planets were in alignment! A fellow at work repaid $400 he has owed me for months. Work is going wonderfully.
