Hot off the press, new wavy focal bead. This focal is $35 and heading for the Kalamazoo show. I hope you are all well. Keep reminding yourself that spring is just around the corner, although it’s a big corner to get around. Glad the sun is out. I’ve been to the studio every single day. Concentrating is a little hard at the moment but I just keep at it. Take care all, BK~
Greetings Beadheads
Love Shines A Light
Yes Beadheads it’s a foggy day, a little like I’ve been feeling. But you know I heard from some very old friends (and aren’t they the best) Ron and Marilyn. Perhaps because they lost their only son Aron a few yrs ago, their calls and flowers and emails have shined a light into my life. Our boys played together when we lived in Detroit so many yrs ago. I’m feeling better than I have and I’m sure things will continue to improve. I’ve been making lots of new beads and as soon as I can get a minute I will have some new pics up. Kalamazoo Garage Sale Art Fair is coming up in two weeks so I’ve got some new work to have out there for that. Today I spent running all over Ann Arbor taking care of business and then the brakes went out on the truck so I’ve got to got pick that up at 5:30p
Tomorrow will be more restful, and Friday to boot, so life just keeps getting better. You all take care now, BK~
Back at the torch Again
It’s back at the torch again and I’ve been working at getting in the swing of things. I get so rusty being away, it’s not like riding a bike. The beads above are made of a new transparent brown, that I must say is a bit of a disapointment. It turns out so darn dark. It’s a fussy glass too, very hard, and as you wait for it to melt it wants to bubble and get scummy.
My recovery continues. I find myself revisiting every memory of Joe. From conception to birth to first shoes (little red leather ones) to first days of school, well you get the picture. The mind is so wonderous in dealing with grief. Gotta go through it can’t go around it.
The studio will be open for visitors again this Saturday, 10:30-1p. Ann is coming and bringing lunch, what wonderful friends I have.
Thanks everyone for checking in. I’ll be posting new beads right along now as I get ready for show season.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this yet but I’m going to be a Grandmother!! Thank you Tim and Sammy for such wonderful, sweet news. When I’d go to Target and find myself in the newborn isle I could’nt help but look at all the tiny newborn clothes. I’d sigh and go on my way. The kids said they were not interested is starting a family. I always hoped and I know you can change your veiws on things like this as you get older. It could'’nt have come at a better time.
Thanks so much for checking in. Lotsa love to you all, Barb
